Gina Montague

Infinite Campus

Gina has been a Support Center Manager since 2001, at which time she became an HDI member. Gina is currently the Manager of Support Services for Infinite Campus, which is a Student Information System (SIS) for K-12 education. Gina has been involved with IT support since 1996 in roles ranging from customer support, training, and project management. Gina was VP of Membership from 2005 to 2008 and the VP of Programs 2008-2010.

Duties:
1. Leads all Local Chapter meetings and social activities.
2. Ensures that officer positions are filled.
3. Oversees annual officer nomination and election processes.
4. Represents the Local Chapter on all official HDI matters.
5. Oversees all Local Chapter activities with and through other officers.
6. Organizes and forwards Local Chapter Excellence Award submissions.
7. Ensures that the Local Chapter acts in accordance with guidelines from HDI and the One Association.

 

Vice President of Membership 
Joyce Arlt

Scott County

Joyce Arlt is currently Client Services Manager for Scott County, where her areas of responsibilities include Service Desk, Desktop Support, Incident Management and Service Level Management. Joyce held similar positions with Entegris, Inc., and Carlson Wagonlit Travel prior to joining Scott County. Before IT, Joyce’s background was customer service in the insurance industry which proves that anyone with good customer service skills can be taught the technology. Joyce’s technical career transformed from the position of PC Technician, to PC Support Specialist, then Help Desk Supervisor and finally manager. Joyce has a Bachelors Degree from Northwestern College in St. Paul. She has been a member of HDI since 1996 and previously held the offices of V.P. of Programs, Communications and Chapter President.

Duties:
1. Maintains the Local Chapter membership and guest databases through the HDI website.
2. Ensures that the VP of Communications has the current Local Chapter membership distribution list.
3. Submits changes to Local Chapter membership database to HDI works with VP of Programs and the President to promote membership.
4. Sends communication to new members and Local Chapter inquiries tracks RSVPs for Local Chapter meetings and events.
5. Creates sign-in sheets and name tags for Local Chapter meetings
6. Follows up with attendees and non-members.
7. Introduces guests at Local Chapter meetings.
8. Reports on new membership and meeting attendance at monthly Local Chapter meetings.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by the President.

 

Vice President of Finance 
Julie Thorndycraft

Faegre Baker Daniels

Julie is the Technology & Service Desk Operations Manager at Faegre Baker Daniels. Her team includes the Service Desk and Desktop Systems Engineers. The Service Desk provides internal support for the attorneys and administrative staff within the firm. In addition, Julie has overall responsibility for Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Julie has been involved with IT support since 1984 in roles ranging from Customer Support to Project Management. She has been directly involved with Help Desk support for over twenty years at various corporations in the Twin Cities. She has been a member of HDI since 1990 and served on the local chapter board as Vice President of Membership, Vice President of Programs, and President.

Duties:
1. Maintains Local Chapter funds.
2. Maintains the Local Chapter financial records
3. Collects fees at meetings, as applicable
4. Pays bills and expense reports approved by the President
5. Submits Local Chapter financial records quarterly to HDI
6. Follows up on monthly membership fees from HDI reports general financial status at monthly Local Chapter meeting
7. Performs other duties as assigned by the President.

 

Vice President of Programs 
Lynn Skauge

Robert Half Technology

Division Director for Robert Half Technology in Bloomington, MN. I’ve been with RHT for over 9 years and started as an IT infrastructure recruiter. I have been in both an outside sales role, helping clients achieve their staffing needs and an infrastructure recruiter. I currently provide IT support consultants for all clients in the South metro. In addition to my main role above, I have also become a Division Director and manage the infrastructure team in Bloomington to provide leadership and work with corporate leadership to identify strategic goals for the company. I look forward to joining the HDI board and hearing from the members so that we can share ideas and set up interesting relevant topics for future meetings.

Duties:
1. Leads all Local Chapter meetings and social activities in the President’s absence
2. Assists the President in the management of the Local Chapter
3. Coordinates valuable and applicable content for the Local Chapter meetings
4. Solicits Local Chapter meeting sponsors and hosts
5. Works with vendors for sponsorship of special events
6. Plans special events with the President
7. Tracks meeting surveys and distributes to board members
8. Submits key survey results to Newsletter Editor
9. Reports on upcoming meetings and events at monthly Local Chapter meetings
10. Performs other duties assigned by the President

 

Vice President of Communications
Eilene Olesen

ATK

Eilene is currently the Enterprise Service Desk Manager with Alliant Techsystems (ATK).  Her team provides 24×7 support to ATK and is currently working with a project team to consolidate several business specific support organizations into the Enterprise Service Desk.  Prior to ATK, she was the Service Operations Center Manager for Kroll Ontrack where her team provided 24×7 support to all Kroll companies globally. Eilene has been involved with IT since the mid-80s and has various responsibilities including training development, desktop support, software license management and vendor relationship management. She has been directly involved with the development of Help Desks/Service Desks for more than ten years at Ecolab, St. Jude Medical, Kroll and now at ATK.

Duties:
1. Maintains Local Chapter and Officers meeting minutes
2. Sends Local Chapter meeting minutes to Local Chapter membership
3. Sends Local Chapter meeting reminders to Local Chapter membership
4. Sends Local Chapter special events invitations and reminders to Local Chapter membership
5. Distributes Newsletter to Local Chapter membership and Regional Director
6. Distributes all communication from the Local Chapter officers to the Local Chapter membership
7. Submits Local Chapter meeting minutes monthly to HDI’s CFO and Regional Director
8. Participates in HDI conference calls and reports content to Local Chapter officers
9. Acts as liaison between the Local Chapter and HDI
10. Contributes to Newsletter with information from, and pertaining to, HDI
11. Reports on HDI initiatives at monthly Local Chapter meetings
12. Maintains consistent format of monthly Newsletter
compiles monthly Newsletter content from members and officers
13. Works with VP of Communication to distribute monthly Newsletter to Local Chapter membership
14. Coordinates vendor advertisements in the Newsletter
15. Prepares hard copies of Newsletter for distribution at Local Chapter meetings
16. Performs other duties as assigned by the President.

Matt Beran

Maryville Technologies

Matt is a Service Management Consultant at Maryville Technologies, providing service management consulting across the globe. Matt has been active in the industry since 2001, while receiving his degree from Gustavus Adolphus College. Matt joined the local chapter in 2008 and uses HDI as a resource for training, collaboration, perspective and inspiration.

Duties:
1. Maintains website for the Local Chapter
2. Updates Local Chapter events on the Local Chapter website
3. Presents ideas and updates to Local Chapter officers for approval prior to release
4. Performs other duties as assigned by the President.

Rachel Hogan

Robert Half Technology

Rachel has been a recruiter since 2000. She started her career recruiting administrative, clerical, and light industrial individuals for temporary positions. Rachel then spent 3 years working as a corporate recruiter for collection and customer service positions with Allied Interstate. In 2004, she decided to go back into the staffing industry and joined Robert Half Technology. In Rachel’s current role, she is responsible for recruiting infrastructure IT professionals for contract and contract to hire positions. Rachel has been a part of the local HDI chapter since 2006. As the Past President she plans to help grow this local HDI chapter.
