About us: Our Mission: To promote the customer support profession in Minnesota by providing a forum facilitating the exchange of information and knowledge between industry resources. HDI Minnesota will promote HDI’s standards, certifications, and training programs as well as the technologies, tools and trends of the technical support industry.

HDI Minnesota is specifically for IT service and support professionals.
There are a number of organizations out there for professionals in the customer service field. HDI is an organization that specifically serves Information Technology service and support professionals.  We understand the unique challenges and requirements of technical support desks and we seek to provide IT support professionals with the information, training and resources they need to succeed and grow.

HDI Minnesota provides the most value for your membership dollar.

HDI Minnesota’s monthly chapter meetings are free to members and guests and open to everyone. in or interested in the IT Service industry.  Participants will enjoy peer-to-peer interactions at special events and regular chapter meetings.  This allows members to share best practices and catch up on the latest industry information.  At our chapter meetings, speakers present information on specific areas of interest to service and support professionals.  Support Center tours are sometime available to allow members to see other support centers in action.  Our Analyst of the Year awards program provides managers with a way to recognize and reward their front line analysts in a special and very meaningful way.  To top this all off, HDI National provides members with access to discounted training, resource materials and more depending on your level of membership. HDI Minnesota is a business.

HDI Minnesota is a registered non-profit organization, chartered on December 7, 1990.  Our purpose it is to provide meaningful content and an opportunity to network with others in the IT Service Industry.  The Chapter is managed by experienced and influential volunteers from the local service and support industry who strive to work together to raise the bar in our industry.  HDI Minnesota depends on membership and sponsor support and involvement to succeed in our mission.

HDI Minnesota is a Local Chapter of HDI 
Founded in 1989, HDI is the world’s largest membership, training, and certification association for technical support professionals.  HDI curriculum addresses the needs of technical support professionals throughout their careers and the various maturity levels of their support operations.  Also known as the Help Desk Institute, the company was rebranded in 2005 to HDI as a means to acknowledge the expanding role of the support center and the maturing service management industry.  A Think Services company, HDI is vendor-neutral in its efforts to facilitate open, independent networking and information sharing within the association’s global network.  HDI serves approximately 50,000 community members and supports 68 local chapters worldwide members.  $65 of the annual HDI fee is transferred to HDI Minnesota to fund chapter meetings, events, speakers, etc. HDI Minnesota’s Mission

HDI Minnesota will promote HDI’s standards, certification, and training programs as well as the technologies, tools and trends of the technical support industry.  How do I Get Involved?  Attend Meetings!  All are welcome to attend the monthly meetings.  Members may bring guests and any non-member may attend.  Minnesota Chapter meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month from 2:00-4:30.  In August and December, we do not have regularly scheduled meetings.
  Volunteer to Host a Meeting!  Through out the Twin City Metro area, volunteer host locations are needed for HDI Minnesota meeting.  Conference rooms should accommodate larger meetings (big events), with access to A/V equipment if needed.  Please contact Programs@hdimn.com. Become a Board Member!  If you are interested in becoming a board member, the elections are in March every year.  You can also volunteer to head a committee or help in other ways.
